Ordsall Hall
Groups can visit Salford's wonderful Grade 1 listed Tudor Manor House, Ordsall Hall and Gardens. This heritage site was first recorded in 1177 and the oldest part of the building dates from the 1360s. Since then, it has been home to Medieval gentry, Tudor nobility, Catholics loyal to the crown, butchers, farmers, an Earl, an artist, priests, scout troops, mill workers, cows and several ghosts! Surrounded by two acres of organically managed gardens, it boasts hands on exhibitions and immersive room settings telling the history of this fascinating building. Group Tours are led by members of the team and will tell the story of how the building has developed over the last 650 years and bring to life some of the characters connected to this famous Salford landmark.
